Hiya Pal. Welcome to my blog.

Hello. If you have found my site I hope that you are in the market for a new travel agent. Becoming a travel agent is something that I have actually thought about for a LONG time. I just had no idea where to start. I had heard that there were agencies out there that sign you up to be an agent for them, but mostly they are just collecting monthly fees from you and not offering much in terms of education or support.

They say timing is everything. When I finally made the decision to take the leap, I found two agencies that said they were looking for new agents.  I applied and crossed my fingers they were legit. I never heard back from one. The other was a new start up and while the interview was exciting, the alarm bells in my gut about the monthly fees they wanted me to pay were ringing. I casually mentioned to a good friend that I had applied and she said she could put me in touch with a friend of hers who works part time as an agent. He graciously let me pick his brain and run things by him to see if it sounded legit. After speaking with him, he confirmed what my gut was telling me. That was not the place for me. However, in the process he said he had a good friend, who owned an agency and he could see if she was open to taking on any more agents. He connected me, I applied and interviewed and the rest is history.

I have always been a planner and like to be three steps ahead. Since becoming a mother I have found so much enjoyment in planning and hosting birthday parties, our family Christmas, Thanksgiving and other holiday get togethers. Planning family vacations is no different. I am known to start booking a full year in advance and often fall down the internet rabbit hole, searching out the destination and all the things to see, and more importantly eat while we are there. Disney vacations are by far my favorite. When advanced reservations for everything was the norm, you would find me happily geeking out over my hour by hour, color coded spreadsheet of daily itineraries, much to my husband’s chagrin.

I signed on with Vacation Ever After in October 2021. In a way, the timing was kinda perfect since I had already planned a fourteen day trip to Orlando for my family later that same month. This trip was our son’s first to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and Legoland Orlando. I got to not only experience all of these things through his eyes, but also with fresh new travel agent eyes. On this trip I gathered important intel on how parks are currently operating, new offerings and things not quite reopened yet. I took one for the team and added more dining reservations so that I could experience and try more things to report back to you about. You’re welcome.

The seasonal pumpkin pancakes from Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s contemporary Resort were out of this world!

All joking aside, I am super excited to start this journey and to continue to grow and develop. In addition to all of my first hand experiences, I have graduated from the College of Disney Knowledge. I am fully prepared to book your next Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Adventures by Disney or Disney Cruise Line vacation. My love and specialty is Disney, but I have also completed Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood training. I am halfway through Princess Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and am eager to move on to all inclusive travel groups after that.

I don’t know how often I will be posting blogs, but writing has also always been something I have enjoyed. Ever since I was a little girl, I loved reading and began writing my own stories. I thrived in college when papers were required and would take that over tests any day. I hope that my long windedness doesn’t turn you off and I promise if we work together and you prefer limited options and short to the point quotes and communication, I can do that too!

Until our next adventure friends. Have a Magical Day!
